やっと正式に発表です。３月にSouth Pasadenaで個展をします。
テーマは2011年の東日本大震災。あの悲劇から２年。この間に思ったり、感じたり、もしくは無意識に表現しようとしてきたこと、そんなことを一つの個展に集めました。それを見てくれた人が何かを感じてくれて、自分の信じる何かが巡り巡って、たとえ自分の知らないところでも、どこかに何かにつながっていけばいい。
僕は、何にしても考えることばかりが先行して、遠回りをして、時間がかかったかもしれないけれど、この個展は自信を持って人にみせられる。そして思いが届くと信じている。
ちなみに売り上げの一部をささやかながら寄付したいと思います。詳細は下に英語ですが、記載しています。
I'm excited to announce my first solo show: When The Sun Becomes A Memory at SPACE art gallery in South Pasadena.
The opening is on March 9th 6pm-9pm. The show will be up till April 20th.
The exhibition is all about Tōhoku Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami of March 11th, 2011. It's been two years already. I tried to illustrate my bottomless abyss of thoughts and dreams that are derived from the terrifying event. I wish to remind people of such fundamental yet often-forgotten questions as where they went, why we are still here, and where we all will be going.
Also, my wife Yu Cotton-well will be doing the window installation to support the show, so it's a collaboration show!
