Last Sunset and First Sunrise

It has become 2010 in many countries already, but the 2009's sun just set for the last time here in California. It's the same sun as the one that has risen in East as a sign of the new decade..........or is it?

年の終わりに思うこと

今年ももう終わる。

あいかわらず、だらだらと書いているこのブログだけど、来年もこの調子でだらだら行くつもりです。いまのところは。

気負いせず、気楽に。

つかみ所のないことを書いたり、屁理屈を書いたり。

何かを思い出したり考えたりしながら、文章を書いたり絵を描いたりしてると、まるで何かに吸い込まれるようにひたすらに忙しく流れていた時間が、ふと静まり返ったように感じるときがある。ぴたりと止まる。とても短い時間だけど。

どんどんどんどん早くなってくように感じる時間の流れにそうやって抵抗してみるのもいいかもしれない。

それにしても、こんなに予定のない長い休みは、もしかするとすごい久しぶりかもしれない。それこそ静まり返ってる。とても平和的に。

Wacom

I've bought a new Wacom Intuos 4 since my old tablet got broken.

The new sensitivity and express keys are great, but I've got to used to the scratchy noise from the textured surface.

By the way, I gotta tell this story.

I bought this tablet at Fry's Electronics.

When I opened the box, I noticed the pen was missing.

I was a little upset about it, but I calmly went to store and asked for an exchange. But, because the box had already been open, they didn't accept the exchange. So, I had to contact the manufacturer and explain and wait for a few days to receive the pen.

I normally don't like complaining, but I just couldn't believe their crappy service. I think everyone knows this already, but I've got to say America's customer service is soooo shitty.

Antlers

Luckily, my company finally decided to give us a good amount of holiday break this time.

I'll be off till Jan 4th!! Yay!!

I'll do my best to enjoy the last 7 days of 2009 and start the happy new decade.

つかみ所のない話

いろんな物事の本質を見極めたいと願っている。

でも、考えれば考えるほど、
そんなものにはたどり着けない, もしくは
そんなもの始めからないのかもしれない
という思いにかられる。

わかったと思った次の瞬間には
その結論に疑問を抱いている。
客観的だと思っていたものは
結局は主観であったりする。

そうやって同じことを繰り返しているような気もするし
それでも少しずつ変化しているような気もする。
こういうものなのだからこれで良いという思いもあるし、
このままではだめだと思いもある。

トヨタ

昨日から雨が降り続いてる。

家のドアの前に椅子をおいて大家さんの家を描いた。

実際にはここまで見下ろした感じではないけれど、ほぼ毎日見ている景色。

豊田市からやってきた僕の大家さんの車はなぜか３台ともトヨタ。（１台外出中）

雲

ただ、ぼーっと何を描こうかと考えながら、窓の外を見上げたら気持ちのいい形の雲が目紛しく蠢いていた。

雲を見るのはきもちがいい。
